"Remove Face Painting Easily"
The professional stage make up I use is water based but SOME colours will stain a bit (usually the blues and greens).
The BEST way to remove it easily WITHOUT STAINING is simply massage a little shampoo into the dry face with fingertips untill the makeup liquifies...
(your fabulous design is now probably a horrible muddy mess!)
Now just wipe off with tissues, wipes or damp cloth and wash face with warm soapy water. EASY... and no staining!
What Paint do Face Painters use?
The face paint that PROFESSIONAL face artists use these days is actually theatre make up….NOT 'paint'.
You can tell the difference because it goes on as a smooth very thin coverage …NOT the wet drippy one from the craft shop that can crack off when dry. Some beginners use these paints and they ARE made specifically for little faces so you do not need to worry.
Make up brands used by professionals are FDA approved, hypo allergenic and come off with a warm soapy washer .
CAUTION: Naturally, YOU as a parent, are responsible for your child so if he/she has a skin allergy or has been exposed to contagious diseases such as chicken pox etc… please do NOT insist that the face painter paint him/her. This is not only irresponsible towards other children but puts the face painter in the difficult position of refusing and feeling terrible because now your child is disappointed and we do this job because we want to make kids happy! Often we can paint on an arm or leg instead.
YES SOME colours do stain a bit (blues and greens mainly) but by gently rubbing neat shampoo or cleansing cream into the area, wiping with a tissue or baby wipes, THEN washing off with soap and water the staining will not occur.
